Curle night at Chez Jacki Berlin 3.11.11 - Jonas Kopp by CurleRec

PullProxy will host their first-ever soirée on November 3 at the Bang Bang Berlin Gallery in Berlin featuring Agaric, Walker Barnard, Falko Brocksieper, Jonas Kopp and Alland Byallo. The event will be broadcast live on Livebeats and starts promptly at 6 PM.  The event is free to attend, but all guests must be on the RA roll call for entry.

As Unlike.net writes, "Usually, DJs are just some sort of accessory at gallery openings and cultural events, yet this event turns that idea on its head. With the Golden Sun Movement’s acid-house inspired “On” exhibition providing the background ambiance, PullProxy’s soirée features Djs as the main show with sets from Agaric, Alland Byallo, Jonas Kopp, Falko Brocksieper and Walker Barnard. It’s invite only, so get your name on the RA event list for entry."

Kevin Gorman isn’t a man of many releases, but when he does release something, it’s always spot on. His last release was on Ostgut Ton, thanks to Ben Klock. He also has his own label, Mikrowave, and already did remixes for Cocoon, CLR, Skint etc. “Cast” is a real techno bomb, just like the Jonas Kopp remix on the flip. Not for the faint of heart!

In Sachen “Berliner Techno-Parties, aber bitte nicht im Berghain” konnte bisher der Arena Club immer hervorragend glänzen. Schlimm, als der Club mal wegen “plötzlichen Umbaus” für ein paar Wochen geschlossen war – die Zukunft der beiden etablierten Reihen “Grounded Theory” und “Dystopian” war plötzlich unsicher. Eine ratsame Strategie ist es da für die unabhängigen Veranstalter ihr Risiko zu minimieren – drum treibts sie vielleicht mittlerweile in’s Horst Krzbrg als Ausweichort. Gerade was Soundqualität und Ambiente angeht, ist dieser Club wohl wahrscheinlich die beste Alternative.
