Horrorfilm-Ästhetik übersetzt in Techno fruchtet ja in den wenigsten Fällen. In „The Revenge“ jedoch ist die Unberechenbarkeit, mit der ein fatalistisches Vocal ausgesprochen wird, während bedrohlich schrille Streicher aufziehen und sich zu jenem fleischgewordenen Wahnsinn verwirren, der jeden Moment runterbrechen, einen packen und zerfetzen kann, wirklich fantastisch arrangiert. Der Cyberpunk aus Singapur und Herr Schaffhäuser ergänzen sich also wieder mal gut...

Horror movie aesthetics translated into techno hardly ever works. On "The Revenge“, however, Schaffhäuser & Xhin superbly arrange the unpredictability of a fatalistically expressed vocal and the rolling in of menacingly piercing strings, all tangling into that incarnate madness, which at any moment can dissolve, grab you and tear you to bits. Cyberpunk from Singapore and Mr. Schaffhäuser make a great pair yet again.
