Mark Broom & James Ruskin No Time Soon EP reviewed on FWD.dj
The No Time Soon EP is a strange case. It’s a low-key record, completely free of the kind of pyrotechnic formulas that excite a club audience, but also without much of that forward-thinking sound design that gets other DJs remixing. It manages to be a very good record, though, if you have anything in common with its intended audience. I’m talking about guys in hooded sweatshirts and full heads of stubble who need a soundtrack to keep their pace as they weave anonymously through South London streets. Guys who love techno but never liked to dance. Working class nerds.
