Kevin Gorman isn’t a man of many releases, but when he does release something, it’s always spot on. His last release was on Ostgut Ton, thanks to Ben Klock. He also has his own label, Mikrowave, and already did remixes for Cocoon, CLR, Skint etc. “Cast” is a real techno bomb, just like the Jonas Kopp remix on the flip. Not for the faint of heart!

In Sachen “Berliner Techno-Parties, aber bitte nicht im Berghain” konnte bisher der Arena Club immer hervorragend glänzen. Schlimm, als der Club mal wegen “plötzlichen Umbaus” für ein paar Wochen geschlossen war – die Zukunft der beiden etablierten Reihen “Grounded Theory” und “Dystopian” war plötzlich unsicher. Eine ratsame Strategie ist es da für die unabhängigen Veranstalter ihr Risiko zu minimieren – drum treibts sie vielleicht mittlerweile in’s Horst Krzbrg als Ausweichort. Gerade was Soundqualität und Ambiente angeht, ist dieser Club wohl wahrscheinlich die beste Alternative.
