Smalltalk with Jacek Sienkiewicz

16 May 2011

How are you? Where are you at the moment?

Thanks a lot - I'm really great! Actually, I just came back to my hometown from holiday… well, a holiday combined with a brief tour of South America. Batteries charged, so now I'm ready to rock through freezing Europe!

Talk to us about your music …

Well honestly - there's not much to talk about. My advise is to listen by yourself - and please, listen carefully! I could say that it's really deep, really complex music, with many layers and a lot of hidden details and tricks… but I suppose that the most important thing is that is the music coming 100% from my heart and soul.

Vinyl, CD or Mp3?

If the quality is really good, the media are secondary. And quality is they most important factor for me, either in the studio or playing live. Actually, I'm not a big fan of mp3s - they're good for demos, previews or to fill iPods of teenage wannabe DJs. I'm too much into hi-tec and quality to fully enjoy mp3s. So for listening, to fully enjoy music and appreciate other artists' vision, I prefer either vinyl or 24bit 96khZ audio files. Back in the days, I started with vinyl, and I will always support vinyl scene!
